Okaw Valley High School

The Okaw Valley FFA held their annual banquet on Thursday, May 2.  Attendees enjoyed a delicious catered meal followed by presentation of awards and scholarships.  Agriculture Teacher Wes Wise presented awards to students.  Brody Bland received the $2,500 CORPS scholarship funded by proceeds from crop sales grown on the CORPS of Engineers ground.  Eight seniors also received $200 scholarships from the OV FFA Alumni Association.  Recipients included Kailynn Bobbett, Elizabeth Herbord, Maci Mowry, Garrett Tippitt, Sadie Zimmerman, Sidney Zimmerman, Sophie Zimmerman and Brody Bland.  A pedal tractor painted in FFA blue and gold was donated by David Keown for a silent auction.  In memory of Don Keown freshman received their official FFA jacket to wear to all FFA events.  2018-19 FFA Contest participants were recognized as well.
