A little bit about our district

Okaw Valley CUSD 302 encompasses the communities of Bethany & Findlay which are located in the counties of Moultrie, Shelby and Macon app. 20 miles south east of Decatur , Illinois. Bethany and Findlay are primarily quiet farming communities. Okaw Valley is a K-12 district that was created in 2001 when the schools of Bethany and Findlay consolidated their individual school districts.

Our mission is to create a learning community that prepares all students to be productive, responsible and successful.

At Okaw Valley, we're here to make an impact on students, staff and our community. We believe that true change begins with all of us! Students assist with several community events such as serving at the Bethany High School Alumni Banquet (see photo), Red Cross Blood Drive sponsored by the Student Council, and hosting a Haunted House for the public to enjoy around Halloween.
